About Mandi Fields
Mandi Fields is a community leader based in Southwestern Ontario with 30 years of experience spanning grassroots organizing, large-scale event planning, and the creation of nationally recognized campaigns. An ambitious and results-driven changemaker, she builds solutions that create lasting social impact.
Mandi is the founder of Tampon Tuesday (2009), a pioneering initiative addressing period poverty and advancing menstrual equity. The movement has grown across North America and won numerous awards, including the Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary International, 2024), The Mayor’s Honor Roll (London, ON, 2022), the Global Maxi Award (2020), National Change Maker Award (United Way, 2019), Bell Media Inspiration Award (2017), and a feature in The New York Times (2015). Mandi is also the creator of Fields to Forks (2015), a national campaign highlighting Canadian agriculture and food systems.
DocTalks Podcast:
Mandi is currently the host of DocTalks Podcast, a conversation on whats new and relevant in the world of medicine and hospital healthcare in Canada. DocTalks is in partnership with St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation.
Reconciliation Leadership:
As an intersectional and community-driven leader, much of Mandi’s work is rooted in advancing reconciliation through action, education, and collaboration. She is the co-creator of The Imagine Build (2021), an initiative dedicated to building safe, affordable housing for the Oneida Nation of the Thames. She also co-created Approachable Conversations with an Indigenous Man, a series led by Ray John Jr., Knowledge Sharer from Oneida Nation of the Thames, designed to foster cultural awareness and meaningful dialogue within organizations and communities.
Mandi has led a range of community-focused arts and advocacy initiatives, including Waking the Giants, a public art installation by Sean Couchie raising awareness of residential schools; the See Me Art Show, highlighting Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Children; and the Atlohsa Peace Awards, which recognize Indigenous leaders who embody the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
